Caring about the environment

By achieving the ISO14001 environmental standard we prove that we are as committed to the environment as we are to our clients and our employees. Our environmental responsibility is key to us, which is why we ensure that our environmental impact is minimised by following these simple guidelines:

Continued improvement...

We are currently utilising sustainable procurement with ongoing evaluations of materials, solvent-free inks and water based varnishes and coatings. FSC and PEFC certified and we have a glowing report for our carbon-offsetting programme.

A Team effort...

All of our employees undergo waste management training. In-house segregation of recyclable materials is well established with non-recyclable waste products being disposed of via approved registered carriers to licensed facilities. Currently we recycle around 50% of all waste generated at our site and we constantly guide our clients to eco-friendly products. Our employees go through rigorous Health and Safety training when using any hazardous waste; you may not find a greener print company.

Commitment...

Our company has been working to meet all the current certified accreditation systems. The Imprint Group is constantly striving to improve methods of production, whilst reducing waste throughout the production cycle including:
Eliminate - Avoid producing waste in the first place
Reduce - Minimise the amount of waste we produce
Re-use - Use items as many times as possible
Recycle - Recycle what we can only after we have re-used it
Dispose - Dispose of what's left in a responsible way.

Carbon offsetting...

With assistance from The University of Newcastle upon Tyne the company carbon footprint has been calculated and we are in the process of offsetting this by up to 200%, making the supply of your point of sale materials more than just carbon neutral.

Rainwater capture...

At one site we have already introduced a rainwater capture and filtering process to reduce water consumption in some of our screen finishing process.
